Locum Physiotherapist – Hospital Rehabilitation

About the role

The Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu is seeking a qualified physiotherapist on a locum basis to join its Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department. You will work directly with patients to assess, treat and improve their movement and functional abilities while collaborating with a multidisciplinary health‑care team.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to identify physiotherapy needs and set appropriate goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment programmes using recognised physiotherapy modalities and techniques.
• Deliver treatment sessions and monitor patient progress on a daily basis.
• Assess relief, functional improvement and adjust programmes as required.
• Document patient outcomes and maintain accurate records in the hospital’s management information system.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Physiotherapy from KMTC or another recognised institution.
• BSc in Physiotherapy or a higher diploma in a physiotherapy specialty is an advantage.
• Registered and licensed by the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya.
• At least one year of experience working in a busy health‑care facility.
• Working knowledge of a Hospital Management Information System.
• Strong public‑relation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
