Logistics Assistant for IRS Operations

About the role

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Logistics Assistant supports warehouse operations for IRS commodity receipt, storage and distribution to operation sites in Busia and Siaya counties. The role ensures efficient logistical support for malaria vector control and HIV/AIDS service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Receive IRS commodities, manage inventory, and distribute supplies to field stores.
• Maintain vehicle log sheets, schedule deliveries, and coordinate vehicle movements with the Senior IRS Coordinator.
• Oversee collection, sorting and storage of used insecticide sachets, bottles and PPE.
• Ensure timely restocking of insecticides and other IRS materials before stock depletion.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and verify ledger completeness at operation sites.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in logistics, procurement, supplies management or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience handling logistics and procurement in an established organization.
• Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
• Physically fit to stand, walk and handle insecticides; willing to work six days a week.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of inventory management and logistics processes.
