M&A Associate – Investment Banking (Nairobi)

About the role

Join a leading pan‑African investment banking team as an M&A Associate based in Nairobi. You will support business development and transaction execution across mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and corporate advisory mandates, working closely with senior professionals across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare high‑quality pitches, presentations, and transaction marketing materials.
• Support business development initiatives in Kenya and East Africa.
• Build financial models and conduct company valuations for M&A and capital‑raising deals.
• Manage virtual data rooms, respond to investor and bidder enquiries, and assist due‑diligence processes.
• Coordinate transaction documentation with legal and other advisors.
• Engage with clients, investors, and potential bidders throughout deal processes.
• Prepare KYC documentation and perform client onboarding checks.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative environment.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in audit, investment banking, consulting, or development finance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborative, interpersonal approach and eagerness to learn.
• Kenyan citizenship or permanent residency.
• Relevant professional qualifications.
