Machine Maintenance Technician – Amboseli

About the role

The Machine Maintenance Technician will ensure that all mechanical and electrical equipment at the Amboseli site operates safely and efficiently. You will work closely with the operations manager to minimise downtime and support the hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Quickly address and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to maintain continuous operation.
• Conduct weekly stock takes of maintenance spares, validate availability and condition, and recommend or order replacements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare regular equipment status reports for the operations manager.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems promptly.
• Ensure all machinery and components comply with industry and safety standards.
• Recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Develop standard operating procedures for maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical engineering or a related technical field; additional mechanical maintenance qualifications are a plus.
• At least 2 years of operational and maintenance experience within a hospitality setting.
• Proven ability to carry out comprehensive maintenance tasks.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems with solid problem‑solving skills.
• Proactive and detail‑oriented approach to maintenance.
