Machine Operator - Circular Knitting Machines

About the role

The Partnership Agency is looking for a diligent and skilled Machine Operator to manage and maintain its computerized circular knitting machines. The operator ensures high-quality production, troubleshoots machine issues and coordinates with the team to meet production targets. The role suits fresh graduates who are mechanically inclined and eager to learn on the job.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage all knitting machines safely and efficiently, adjusting size and style changes so products meet quality standards.
• Work with Quality Control to fix machines and products that do not meet quality expectations.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain the computerized circular knitting machines, using the right yarns and raw materials.
• Oversee raw material feeding, replace consumable spares and coordinate production schedules for on-time delivery.
• Prepare daily production and attendance reports, manage a team of attendants and train new team members with the QC head of department.
• Keep management and engineers informed of machine status, switch and load machine programs and fix knitting faults.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, with strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and multitasking abilities, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours, lift heavy parts and perform bending, stooping and reaching tasks.
• Essential attendance, ability to read and write English, and ability to work in a medium to low noise environment.
• Experience with circular knitting and hosiery development is a plus; training is provided.
