Maintenance Supervisor – Mechanical

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor – Mechanical will lead plant machinery maintenance for the ERW plant, ensuring high equipment availability, reliability, and efficient execution of CAPEX projects that enhance capacity and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement preventive, predictive and corrective mechanical maintenance plans for ERW mills and related equipment.
• Identify recurring breakdowns, lead root‑cause analysis and apply permanent corrective actions to maximise equipment uptime.
• Plan, assign and supervise day‑to‑day mechanical maintenance work, shutdown jobs and breakdown interventions.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, set minimum/maximum stock levels and raise purchase requisitions to avoid critical shortages.
• Use SAP PM (or equivalent CMMS) for work orders, preventive schedules and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a related technical field.
• 7–10 years of mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing or heavy‑industrial settings, with at least 3–5 years supervising ERW tube‑mill maintenance.

Required skills

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting of mill stands, forming/sizing sections, cut‑off systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings and utility equipment.
• Maintenance planning and execution using SAP PM or similar CMMS.
• Spare‑parts planning and inventory control.
• CAPEX project coordination, technical specification preparation and commissioning oversight.
