Management Reporting Manager

About the role

The Management Reporting Manager is responsible for preparing and analysing management accounts, budget variance reports and regulatory submissions for SBM Bank. The role supports senior management with timely, accurate financial information to drive strategic decisions and monitor performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts in line with IFRS and prudential guidelines and analyse actual performance against budget, forecasts and prior periods.
• Produce regular management reports, board and ALCO packs, and develop key financial ratios and profitability analyses.
• Support regulatory reporting to the Central Bank of Kenya and Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation, including data collation, validation and submission.
• Coordinate external audit activities, provide requested information, and follow up on audit queries.
• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and quarterly financial publications.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of finance experience, preferably in banking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from a recognised university.
• Professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Competent use of MS Office and financial reporting systems.
