Managing Consultant – Environmental & Social Due Diligence

About the role

ERM Africa is looking for an experienced Managing Consultant to lead its Environmental & Social Due Diligence (ESDD) practice across the continent. You will work at the intersection of sustainability, finance and risk management, supporting high‑profile investment and infrastructure projects while shaping the growth of our transaction advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex environmental and social due‑diligence assignments for major infrastructure, mining, energy and telecom projects across Africa.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with development finance institutions, private‑equity firms and other leading investors.
• Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
• Contribute to the strategic expansion of ERM’s transaction advisory and sustainable‑finance practice in the region.

Required profile

• Proven experience in environmental and social due‑diligence within a consulting or advisory environment.
• Commercially minded with a track record of delivering high‑quality client outcomes.
• Strong leadership abilities, capable of managing project teams and driving business development.
