Manufacturing Engineer – Smart Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our greenfield SieSAW (skid assembly) operation in the Knightdale/Raleigh area of North Carolina. The role focuses on building manufacturing capability, ensuring continuity, and driving continuous improvement for high‑quality, make‑to‑order power distribution equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Improve safety for all personnel working in and around production lines.
• Measure, document, and analyze manufacturing processes to reduce errors, enhance product quality and increase productivity.
• Identify and manage improvement projects, including capital expenditures, contractor coordination, cost‑savings calculations, CAD design and physical installation.
• Implement digital tools such as Digital Work Instructions, Operator Displays, performance/status dashboards, and other connected‑worker support systems.
• Coordinate manufacturing documentation, performance measurement, new product introduction, line upgrades, and fixture design.

Required profile

• Early‑career professional with an engineering background.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in power‑distribution or automation equipment.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ability to lead improvement projects and work with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• CAD design.
