Marketing Assistant

About the role

The Marketing Assistant will support Kaziweza Limited’s brand activation, retail promotion and market research activities across Nairobi. You will work closely with the marketing team to ensure smooth execution of events, timely distribution of promotional materials and accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Activation & Events Support – coordinate brand ambassadors and promoters, prepare activation kits and product samples, track attendance, assist with event setup and logistics, collect photos and feedback, and compile activation reports.
• Retail & Distributor Support – aid product launches, manage sample distribution to retailers and distributors, maintain records of promotional activities and follow up on marketing support requests.
• Inventory & Asset Management – monitor stock of POSM, branded merchandise, uniforms and activation materials, coordinate storage and distribution, maintain an inventory register and conduct periodic stock counts.
• Market Research – gather information on pricing, promotions, new products and market trends, and assist with consumer surveys and focus groups.
• Administrative Support – maintain marketing calendars, trackers, purchase requisitions, supplier documentation, expense tracker and departmental records.

Required profile

• Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in marketing, administration or customer‑facing roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
