Materials Specialist

About the role

The Materials Specialist is responsible for executing warehouse activities within the assigned division or location. The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and accurate inventory management, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and issued to internal and external customers in a timely manner.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with procedures and company standards for product flow and storage.
• Support operations by supervising or directly performing warehouse processes such as reception, issuance, counting, and junking.
• Maintain timely input and accurate records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Monitor and reduce excess and ageing stock, executing cycle counts and periodic physical inventories.
• Promote continuous improvement using Lean tools (e.g., 5S) and advanced materials‑management techniques.
• Conduct self‑assessments and audits according to global processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 5‑10 years of experience in a similar warehouse or materials‑management role.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply new concepts in operational environments.
• Strong adaptability and performance in fast‑paced settings.
