About the role
The Mobility division of M‑KOPA is seeking an Inventory Officer in Mombasa to own the accurate tracking, receipt, movement, and system recording of all mobility inventory. This role is the operational backbone that ensures every unit, serial number, and battery is captured in real time and remains auditable.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and verify all incoming stock from OEMs, physically count units and reconcile against purchase orders, delivery notes and accompanying documentation.
- Record inbound stock in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) with serial numbers, chassis numbers and item codes without delay.
- Process outbound stock issues, transfers, returns and adjustments through D365 and Zoho CRM, preparing transfer notes, delivery documentation and dispatch confirmations.
- Maintain real‑time updates of all stock movements across systems, targeting a minimum stock accuracy of ≥ 99%.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, support monthly full physical stock takes, submit variance reports within SLAs and perform root‑cause analysis on discrepancies.
- Manage stock returns, including battery receipt, condition assessment and refurbishment lifecycle until re‑entry into available stock.
- Oversee free‑trial and loaner bike inventory, tracking allocation, return dates, condition and system status.
- Generate daily reports on stock movements, variances and open items, analyse inventory data and recommend process improvements.
- Support Finance with monthly stock reconciliations and maintain audit‑ready records.
Required profile
- Detail‑obsessed inventory professional with a high ownership mindset.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Strong analytical skills for variance reporting and root‑cause analysis.
Required skills
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) for inventory receipt and transaction processing.
- Zoho CRM for outbound stock handling and documentation.
- Proficiency in inventory control processes, cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
