Mathematics & Science Teacher (Eldoret)

About the role

GULAB LOCHAB ACADEMY is looking for a versatile teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction in Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry and Physics to learners in Eldoret. The successful candidate will design engaging lessons, assess learner progress and support students across a broad range of mathematical and scientific topics.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry and Physics to secondary‑level learners.
• Develop and deliver lesson plans, schemes of work and teaching materials aligned with the curriculum.
• Prepare learners for examinations, quizzes, assignments and practical assessments.
• Mark assessments, provide constructive feedback and track learner performance.
• Offer remedial and individualized support where needed.
• Conduct laboratory demonstrations and experiments for Chemistry and Physics.
• Integrate technology and educational tools into classroom activities.
• Maintain accurate attendance, assessment and performance records.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development and academic planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics or a related field.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in the listed subjects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, disciplined learning environment.
