Mathematics Teacher – Full‑Time Classroom Role

About the role

Lizzie Wanyoike Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join its Nairobi campus. You will lead a classroom that follows Kenya’s Competency Based Curriculum (CBC), delivering engaging mathematics lessons in English or Kiswahili. The role focuses on fostering deep understanding, critical thinking, and personal growth among primary‑level learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver CBC‑aligned mathematics lessons using a variety of instructional strategies.
• Develop and adapt learning resources, including digital tools and hands‑on activities, to make concepts relevant to students’ everyday lives.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments, track learner progress, and report outcomes to parents and school leadership.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to integrate cross‑subject initiatives and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Participate in continuous professional development and school events to enhance teaching practice.

Required profile

• Diploma in Education or a related field (minimum qualification).
• At least four years (48 months) of teaching experience, preferably in primary or lower secondary education.
• Proficiency in delivering instruction in English and/or Kiswahili.
• Strong knowledge of Kenya’s Competency Based Curriculum and assessment standards.
• Commitment to student‑centered learning and community engagement.
