Mathematics Teacher

About the role

You will lead a classroom at Lizzie Wanyoike Preparatory School, delivering the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) in English, Kiswahili or Mathematics. The role involves planning engaging lessons, assessing learner progress, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to support each student’s academic and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver CBC‑aligned lessons in your specialised subject, using varied teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Develop and adapt learning materials, including digital and hands‑on resources, to make lessons interactive and relevant.
• Conduct continuous formative and summative assessments, maintaining accurate records of achievement and development.
• Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe, disciplined, and inclusive environment.
• Identify learners requiring additional support or enrichment and design individualised interventions or extension activities.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about learner performance, behaviour, and progress.

Required profile

• Diploma qualification (mandatory).
• Relevant teaching experience (mandatory).
• Ability to teach in English, Kiswahili, or Mathematics within the CBC framework.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with colleagues and engage parents.
• Commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
