Mechanical Engineer – Product Development & Support

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, improve, and test structural, electromechanical, and hydraulic systems across product development, industrial engineering, and customer support. The role involves solving diverse and unexpected engineering challenges for our DEF storage and dispense equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, improve, and test structural, electromechanical, and hydraulic systems, ensuring compliance with standards such as NIST 44, NFPA 70, and UL 508.
• Support sales, production, installation, and technical support processes, consulting customers on optimal solutions.
• Apply design techniques for sheet‑metal fabrication, CNC routing, frames, and 3D‑printed components.
• Develop and document manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and inventory integration.
• Provide technical support to production staff, troubleshoot field failures, and create detailed drawings for customer communication.
• Research emerging technologies, prototype, and analyze test data to enhance product performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrable mechanical design projects for manufacturing.
• Experience with formed sheet metal, CNC routing, or weldments.
• Proven ability to create product documentation (technical drawings, assembly instructions, electrical schematics, user manuals).
• Experience working in cross‑functional engineering teams.
• Self‑motivated to explore systems, propose improvements, and support customers.

Required skills

• 3D CAD proficiency (Onshape preferred; SolidWorks, CATIA acceptable).
• ECAD knowledge (Siemens Capital X Panel Designer desired).
• Familiarity with industry standards: NIST 44, NFPA 70, UL 508.
• Experience with SAP ERP.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt.
• Scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, or VBA.
