About the role
The University seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist II to support its diagnostic services in Nairobi. The role involves applying laboratory expertise within a busy health facility while adhering to strict biosafety and clinical standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests as required.
- Maintain accurate records and operate Hospital Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with biosafety, infection prevention, and control protocols.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians Board.
- Minimum of one year experience in a busy health facility.
- Knowledge of biosafety, infection prevention and control, and clinical standards.
- Experience in a tertiary learning institution is an advantage.
- Compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
Required skills
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Experience with Hospital Management Systems.
- Understanding of biosafety protocols.
- Infection prevention and control expertise.
- Familiarity with clinical standards.
