About the role
The Medical Officer will join Equity Afia’s healthcare team in Westlands, Nairobi, providing clinical services and supporting health management initiatives. This full‑time position requires a qualified medical graduate with a valid Kenyan medical licence.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver clinical care to patients in accordance with medical standards.
- Apply knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures.
- Utilize Health Management Information Systems for data entry and reporting.
- Participate in emergency response using Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) protocols.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB or MBBS) from a recognised university.
- Registered with a valid licence from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- At least one (1) year internship experience in a public or private hospital.
- Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures.
