Member of Technical Staff - Coding Research (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff to lead cutting‑edge coding research on a fully remote basis. The role focuses on advancing programming language, compiler, and runtime technologies that power high‑performance computing platforms. You will work with a global leader in software development and contribute to both academic and industry breakthroughs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct deep research on programming languages, compilers, and runtime systems to improve performance.
• Design and implement novel algorithms for code analysis, transformation, and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate research outcomes into production‑grade systems.
• Publish findings at conferences and contribute to open‑source projects.
• Develop prototypes and proofs‑of‑concept to validate theoretical work in practical applications.

Required profile

• Strong computer science background with focus on programming languages, compilers, or runtime systems.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as C++, Rust, Java, and Python.
• Experience with static and dynamic program analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of compiler design, including parsing, semantic analysis, and code generation.
• Familiarity with performance optimization, benchmarking, and profiling tools.
• Ability to conduct independent research and translate ideas into technical solutions.
• Experience with distributed systems, parallel computing, or GPU programming is a plus.
