Member Services Representative

About the role

As a Member Services Representative at the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth, you will be the first point of contact for current and prospective members, delivering friendly and professional service while supporting administrative tasks that enhance the member experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome members, guests, and visitors.
• Provide information on YMCA programs, services, and membership options.
• Assist members with inquiries, registrations, issue resolution, and membership tours.
• Promote membership benefits and support sales, renewals, applications, cancellations, and changes.
• Handle cash transactions for membership fees and program payments.
• Maintain accurate member records in the database.
• Keep the front‑desk area clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Monitor facility access and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Collaborate with YMCA staff, attend team meetings, and contribute to service improvements.
• Support special events and community outreach as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 16 years.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in a community‑focused or membership‑based organization preferred.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations professionally.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with member management software.
• Problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
