Membership Intern (6-month contract)

About the role

The Electronic-waste Producer Responsibility Organization of Kenya (EPROK) is looking for a motivated Membership Intern to support membership growth, recruitment and engagement. The role involves outreach initiatives, member acquisition activities and communication efforts to expand and strengthen EPROK’s membership base.

Key responsibilities

• Support identification, mapping and recruitment of potential member companies within the sector.
• Participate in member acquisition activities such as phone calls, emails and physical visits to prospective members.
• Present and promote EPROK’s membership value proposition to prospects.
• Maintain accurate records of recruitment progress and follow up on leads.
• Assist in planning and coordinating member engagement meetings, networking forums and related events.
• Help develop marketing materials, membership briefs and promotional content.
• Update recruitment databases, tracking tools and reports regularly.
• Facilitate onboarding of new members, ensuring required documentation is completed correctly.
• Support field coordination for e‑waste collection drives and partnership initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage potential members professionally.
• Interest in marketing, business development and membership recruitment.
• Self‑driven, target‑oriented and comfortable with field visits.
• Basic understanding of sales or membership recruitment processes.
