Mental Health & Addiction Team Leader (Band 7)

About the role

This permanent Band 7 position leads the Mental Health & Addiction team at Hydebank Prison, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SEHSCT). The role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of mental health and addiction services within the prison environment, supporting staff, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the mental health and addiction team.
• Coordinate service delivery to meet the needs of prisoners and uphold quality standards.
• Collaborate with prison management and external agencies to integrate health services.
• Contribute to the development of policies, procedures and strategic plans for mental health provision.

Required profile

• Band 7 (senior) level appointment.
• Relevant experience in mental health and addiction services, preferably within a secure setting.
