MEP CAD/BIM Technician

About the role

Rendeavour Group is seeking a dynamic MEP CAD/BIM Technician to join its engineering department. The role leads MEP modeling and coordination for complex high‑rise and large‑scale buildings, bridging engineering design and construction documentation to ensure accurate, fully coordinated, clash‑free Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the production of fully coordinated MEP drawings and BIM models for HVAC, electrical (power, lighting, low‑current), plumbing, drainage and fire‑fighting systems.
• Prepare detailed schematics, riser diagrams, plant‑room layouts and typical installation details for high‑rise and industrial projects.
• Utilize Navisworks for rigorous clash detection between MEP services and structural/architectural elements and manage resolution of clashes.
• Review contractor shop drawings and material submittals against the design model to ensure compliance and support site inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical diploma.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in MEP drafting and coordination for residential, industrial and high‑rise buildings.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on MEP BIM modeling experience.

Required skills

• Expert‑level proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP) and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with calculation software such as HAP, Dialux or Elite Fire.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems coordination, plant‑room spatial requirements and building services codes.
