MICE Sales Officer

About the role

The MICE Sales Officer provides commercial sales support for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) at Fairmont Mount Kenya. The role manages enquiries, prepares proposals and contracts, and ensures smooth hand‑over to operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, qualify and respond promptly to MICE enquiries via phone, email and other channels.
• Prepare and issue proposals, quotations and sales correspondence, and follow up to maximise conversion.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date MICE sales pipeline and tracker.
• Draft contracts and related documentation in line with approved rates and terms, and monitor deposits and confirmations.
• Communicate regularly with key accounts, agencies, DMCs and PCOs, identifying repeat business opportunities.
• Update CRM/sales systems, assist with sales reports, forecasts and pipeline updates.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to the Senior Sales Manager – MICE and MICE Sales Manager, including preparation for client meetings and coordination with reservations, revenue, finance and operations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• Previous experience in hotel sales, MICE, groups or reservations.
• Strong telephone and written communication with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines in a fast‑paced luxury hospitality environment.
• Professional, confident and service‑oriented communication style.
