About the role
The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Manager will lead the operationalisation of the Inclusive Africa Program’s results framework, translating its Theory of Change into practical indicators, tools and learning processes. The role ensures high‑quality, ethical data collection and drives adaptive management across the programme.
Key responsibilities
- Design, refine and maintain the MEL plan, results framework, indicator reference sheets, learning agenda and reporting calendar.
- Coordinate baseline, midline, annual and end‑line assessments, ensuring research permits, ethics approvals and quality assurance.
- Configure and administer programme information systems and dashboards (e.g., ActivityInfo), conduct routine data‑quality assessments and enforce data‑protection standards.
- Analyse data to produce dashboards, performance briefs, donor reports and management presentations, flagging under‑performance and risks.
- Facilitate reflection, learning sessions and maintain feedback mechanisms that are accessible to youth with disabilities.
- Assess and strengthen partner capacity in indicator interpretation, accessible data collection and evidence documentation.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Data Science or related field.
- 8–10 years of progressive MEL, research or programme‑quality experience in complex, multi‑country development programmes.
- Proven experience designing results frameworks, Theory of Change, baselines, targets and mixed‑method evaluations.
- Experience with youth skills development, disability inclusion and policy influence.
- Strong record in data‑quality assurance, donor reporting and adaptive management.
