Monitoring & Evaluation Officer – Kenya Big Dream

About the role

The Kenya Big Dream Phase III program seeks a qualified Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer to coordinate day‑to‑day MEAL activities in Migori County. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure high‑quality data collection, program assessment, reporting and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and oversee the monitoring framework, tools and digital data collection systems for the KBD program.
• Coordinate routine monitoring visits, compile and submit management reports, and ensure data quality, accuracy and timely dissemination.
• Support program planning, budget scheduling and GIS mapping of geographical coverage.
• Facilitate learning sessions, document stories of change and manage accountability mechanisms such as complaints handling.
• Collaborate with partners, represent World Vision in technical working groups and build capacity of MEL staff.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in M&E coordination within a large international NGO or similar development organization.
• Experience with donor‑funded projects and familiarity with child protection, monitoring frameworks and reporting standards.
• Strong communication and networking skills, ability to work in a multicultural environment and commitment to Christian principles.

Required skills

• Practical experience designing M&E tools, indicators and data collection systems.
• Ability to use GIS/RS mapping and digital data management platforms.
• Competence in preparing technical reports, monitoring matrices and compliance documentation.
