Monitoring, Verification & Reporting Technical Specialist

About the role

The MRV Technical Specialist will lead the design, development and continuous improvement of the NATURE+ Carbon Project’s monitoring, reporting and verification systems, ensuring accurate quantification and reporting of GHG emission reductions and removals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage field data collection protocols and tools such as Kobo Toolbox and ArcGIS Field Maps.
• Implement forest inventories, biomass assessments and socio‑economic surveys, establishing permanent and temporary sample plots.
• Collect, manage, analyse and report inventory and survey data, ensuring compliance with carbon standards (Verra VCS, Gold Standard).
• Deploy GIS and remote‑sensing tools (QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, Google Earth Engine) for spatial analysis of land‑use changes.
• Prepare validation‑ready documentation and serve as primary technical contact for verification bodies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience developing MRV systems for forest carbon projects.
• Strong expertise in forest inventory, carbon accounting and QA/QC processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Geospatial Sciences or related field.
