Multimedia Communications Officer

About the role

The Multimedia Communications Officer will lead digital storytelling for the Academy, creating and managing content that showcases student experiences, academic achievements and institutional impact across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute content plans aligned with annual communication strategies, managing the editorial calendar for social media, website, newsletters and blogs.
• Produce high‑quality multimedia assets – photography, video, reels and written pieces – for events such as graduations, Founders Day and scholarship awards.
• Manage daily social‑media operations, monitor audience interaction and escalate any sensitive issues to the Brand Communications Manager.
• Track performance metrics, maintain analytics dashboards and provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Collaborate with graphic designers, website specialists and admissions to ensure integrated visual assets and compliance with child‑safeguarding protocols.
• Train and supervise interns and student journalists on ethical digital content creation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Media or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in digital content development, corporate communications or social‑media management.
• Demonstrated portfolio of multimedia storytelling, especially for youth or educational audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social‑media analytics tools and management suites.
• Experience using Content Management Systems (CMS) and Digital Asset Management platforms.
• Hands‑on skills in mobile journalism tools such as Adobe Premiere Rush, Canva and Instagram Reels.
• Press photography and videography expertise (DSLR and drone operation).
• Ability to leverage AI‑assisted content creation tools while ensuring originality and data privacy.
