About the role
The Municipal Manager will lead the administration of Kimilili Municipality, ensuring effective service delivery, policy implementation, and infrastructure development in line with Kenyan law.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee provision of municipal services and develop integrated development plans.
- Coordinate infrastructure projects, manage budgets and municipal records.
- Enforce fees, levies and regulate public transport.
- Facilitate public participation and promote a safe, healthy urban environment.
- Serve as Secretary and ex‑officio member of the Municipal Board.
Required profile
- Kenyan citizen with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Public Administration, Management, Economics, Urban Planning or related field.
- Certified Secretary (CS) in good standing.
- Minimum ten years’ experience in public or private sector administration/management.
- Completion of a senior management course of at least four weeks.
- Strong managerial and leadership competence with a proven record of results.
