National Consultant – Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)

About the role

The International Trade Centre is seeking a National Consultant to lead Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities for its THRIVE programme. Based in Nairobi, the consultant will work remotely while conducting field missions in Turkana County, Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an updated results framework and M&E toolkit within the first three months.
• Produce bi‑annual training reports, quarterly performance summaries, and monthly activity reports.
• Build and launch a centralized beneficiary tracking database by month five.
• Conduct two field monitoring missions in Turkana County, including data verification audits and documentation of impact stories.
• Prepare the annual M&E report and final contract closure report at the end of the 12‑month assignment.

Required profile

• Based in Nairobi, Kenya, with ability to work remotely.
• Willingness to travel to Turkana County for field missions as scheduled.
• Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation within international development or trade programmes.
• Strong reporting skills and ability to manage digital data collection tools.
