Nature for Health Systems Approach Facilitator and Project Development Specialist

About the role

This consultancy will lead the systemic facilitation of the scoping phase for the Nature for Health Multi‑Partner Trust Fund in Kenya. The consultant will work remotely to bring together diverse stakeholders, build a shared vision, and produce an Implementation Project Document that guides the first funded project.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate a systemic inquiry with government agencies, NGOs, and other partners to define the scope of the Nature for Health project.
• Develop a common understanding of One Health principles and environmental determinants of health among stakeholders.
• Co‑create an Implementation Project Document that outlines activities, timelines, and budget for the pilot project.
• Ensure alignment with UNEP’s Ecosystems Division objectives and the broader Nature for Health initiative.
• Provide regular progress updates to the core team and support decision‑making for the next implementation stage.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilitating multi‑stakeholder processes and scoping studies.
• Strong knowledge of One Health, environmental health, and ecosystem‑based approaches.
• Ability to work independently on a part‑time, remote basis for a nine‑month period.
• Excellent communication skills to engage government, civil society and international partners.
