About the role
Amentum is seeking an NGIS General Manager to lead the Navy Gateway Inns and Suites facilities on Diego Garcia. This senior hospitality role oversees all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring seamless service for U.S. Navy personnel and other guests.
Key responsibilities
- Direct daily hotel administration, including front‑desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Manage reservation systems to maintain accurate room availability and prioritize guest needs.
- Oversee inventory and supply chain processes to guarantee sufficient stock and minimize waste.
- Lead, schedule, and develop hotel staff, conducting performance reviews and addressing concerns.
- Handle guest inquiries and issues promptly, maintaining a customer‑first atmosphere.
- Prepare financial, inventory, and reservation reports for senior management.
Required profile
- Minimum two years of experience managing hotel operations, reservations, and inventory.
- At least one year of post‑secondary education in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven leadership ability in a hospitality environment.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems.
- Experience using reservation software.
- Knowledge of inventory tracking software.
