About the role
We are seeking a qualified Oncology Nurse to join Maua Methodist Hospital in Westlands, Kenya. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to oncology patients while supporting their emotional and psychological wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
Required profile
- Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (KRCHN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Valid, up‑to‑date registration and practicing license with the Nursing Council of Kenya
- Minimum three years of oncology, medical‑surgical or acute care experience (preferred)
- Born‑again Christian with demonstrated maturity in faith
- Honest, high integrity and ethical conduct
- Ability to understand and sensitively support patients’ emotional, psychological and social needs
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a collaborative team member
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (a plus)
- Higher Diploma or Certificate in Oncology Nursing
- Knowledge of MS Office packages
