Operations Leader – Distribution Center

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Leader to manage daily floor activities at our distribution center in Embu das Artes. The role ensures receipt, storage, picking, packing and shipment processes meet food safety standards and deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of assistants, checkers and forklift operators, monitoring productivity and accuracy while ensuring proper use of PPE.
• Oversee inbound unloading, verifying quantities, expiration dates and temperature compliance.
• Organize order queues and guide the team to execute fast, error‑free picking, applying FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles.
• Coordinate loading of delivery vehicles, respecting routes and preserving product integrity.
• Maintain 5S standards and cleanliness in accordance with health surveillance regulations.

Required profile

• Completed high school; pursuing or holding a degree/technical course in Logistics is preferred.
• Proven experience leading teams in food or beverage distribution centers.
• Strong decision‑making under pressure, participative leadership and clear communication with drivers and staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data collectors and Warehouse Management System (WMS) platforms.
• Hands‑on knowledge of picking methodologies such as Pick‑to‑Light, Voice Picking or conventional methods.
• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Storage Practices (BPF/BPA) for food products.
