Operations Officer

About the role

The Operations Officer supports the efficient execution of operational activities across production, inventory, procurement, warehousing and logistics. The role coordinates resources to meet production targets, optimise operational efficiency and maintain high standards of quality and customer service. It is a full-time position based in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations so that production, warehousing, procurement and distribution run smoothly, monitor production schedules and liaise with internal departments to resolve issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of raw materials and finished goods, support procurement planning and track supplier deliveries.
• Coordinate dispatch and logistics to ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
• Prepare operational reports on production, inventory and logistics performance, identify process improvements and keep accurate records.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs and quality standards, and promote compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Take part in operational planning and continuous improvement, and perform other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics or supply chain management; manufacturing experience is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of inventory management, production planning and logistics operations.
• ERP system experience is an added advantage.
