Part-Time Direct Support Professional – Home & Community Based

About the role

Springbrook is seeking compassionate Part‑Time Direct Support Professionals to work in home and community‑based settings in the Delaware region. You will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals while fostering independence and community participation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalized care such as bathing, toileting, and meal assistance based on each person’s needs.
• Encourage participation in community activities, recreational outings, and social events.
• Act as a role model and advocate, promoting positive communication and decision‑making.
• Collaborate with the individual to set and pursue personal goals and track progress.
• Complete required documentation and billing for services rendered.

Required profile

• Reliability and punctuality with a strong attendance record.
• Ability to build trusting, long‑term relationships with the person you support.
• Commitment to respecting the dignity and choices of individuals with disabilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Basic personal care techniques (e.g., bathing, dressing).
• Documentation and record‑keeping for support services.
