Partnerships and Grants Officer

About the role

The Partnerships and Grants Officer will drive HIAS’s resource mobilization and strategic growth by identifying funding opportunities, crafting high‑quality proposals, engaging donors, and managing key partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, track and assess funding opportunities from institutional donors, foundations, corporations, embassies, UN agencies and other sources.
• Lead the development and timely submission of concept notes, proposals, grant applications and expressions of interest.
• Maintain a comprehensive funding pipeline, grants calendar and grant management system.
• Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective donors, preparing briefing materials and coordinating meetings.
• Identify, assess and cultivate strategic partnerships with NGOs, academic institutions, faith‑based groups and private‑sector actors.
• Support donor reporting, compliance and internal communication on program impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Communications, Business Administration, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in grants management, proposal development, fundraising or partnership building within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Proven track record of successful grant writing for institutional and private donors.
• Strong analytical, research and project coordination abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Experience using Grant Management Systems and donor tracking platforms.
