Payroll Data Entry Specialist

About the role

Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented Payroll Support professional to join the payroll and HR operations team. The role focuses on accurate and timely entry of payroll data while embracing a proactive, all‑hands‑on‑deck attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Enter employee time, hours, job codes and pay data into the payroll system accurately and on schedule.
• Verify time‑entry submissions for completeness, flagging missing or inconsistent data for review.
• Assist with certified payroll entry and reporting to meet prevailing‑wage requirements.
• Coordinate with field supervisors and project teams to resolve data discrepancies.
• Respond to payroll‑related employee inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Support payroll audits, reporting and new‑hire data entry, including pay rates, deductions and direct‑deposit details.
• Provide general HR administrative assistance, document management and onboarding support.
• Take on overflow tasks, special projects and time‑sensitive requests as needed.
