Payroll & Data Officer (Arabic/French Speaking)

About the role

The Arabic/French speaking Payroll & Data Officer supports the Regional Payroll Hub Manager in processing payroll for 500‑1000 staff across multiple Arabic and French speaking countries. The role ensures accurate, timely payroll execution while complying with statutory and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and validate monthly HR data with HR Officers to guarantee payroll accuracy.
• Process monthly payroll, including salaries, allowances, deductions, benefits, pensions and final dues.
• Coordinate payroll validation and salary disbursement to ensure timely payments.
• Prepare payroll reports, accounting files, bank payment files and salary validation documentation for Finance.
• Manage payroll queries, resolve discrepancies and escalate issues as needed.
• Generate and distribute monthly pay slips while maintaining confidential payroll records.
• Submit statutory payment schedules and ensure timely remittance of taxes, pension, social security and other mandatory deductions.
• Collaborate with Finance and external service providers for accurate statutory filings and reporting.
• Produce HR analytics and workforce reports covering headcount, hires, exits, contracts and salary changes.
• Maintain payroll checklists and documentation for audits and operational requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of proven payroll processing experience, preferably in an international or humanitarian context.
• Strong knowledge of statutory payroll obligations in multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
