People & Organization Business Partner

About the role

As a People & Organization (P&O) Business Partner at Mars Snacking in Nairobi, you will act as a strategic co‑pilot to the Plant Director and the Factory Management Team. You will drive the people and culture agenda, embed talent roadmaps and support the Mars Supply Excellence Work Systems to enable high‑performing, zero‑loss operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Plant Director and Factory Management Team on business results, organisational design and workforce planning.
• Lead the People pillar of the Mars Supply Excellence Work Systems, collaborating with the Education & Training pillar to build functional competencies and coach teams.
• Work with Talent Acquisition and Centres of Excellence to attract talent, develop pipelines and implement leadership competency roadmaps.
• Advise line managers on complex P&O matters, oversee associate relations, and champion recognition programmes.
• Manage P&O metrics, overheads and budget allocation in line with site P&L and Mars governance standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Progressive HR experience as a Generalist or Business Partner, preferably in manufacturing, supply chain or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour law, employee relations and experience with union engagement or CBA negotiations.
• Proven record in talent management, organisational change, capability building and coaching senior leaders.
• Collaborative mindset with strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills.
