Pharmaceutical Technologist – Nairobi

About the role

Equity Afia is seeking a Pharmaceutical Technologist to join its network of franchised outpatient centres in Westlands, Nairobi. The role involves ensuring safe and effective medication management within a hospital‑like environment, supporting the delivery of high‑quality, affordable healthcare to the Kenyan community.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense and administer medications in accordance with prescriptions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and record‑keeping for all pharmaceutical activities.
• Utilise the Health Management Information System to track inventory, patient medication histories and reporting.
• Collaborate with doctors and nursing staff to follow prescribed treatment protocols.
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board regulations and internal quality standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology.
• At least three years of post‑internship experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Registered with a valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
• Proficient computer skills, especially with Health Management Information Systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
