PhD Peer Reviewer – Quantum Information (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced PhD‑level researcher to provide expert peer review for manuscripts in quantum information. This is a long‑term, part‑time position that can be performed remotely, supporting the editorial process of academic journals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess novelty of submissions and determine whether they add new knowledge to the field.
• Evaluate study design and methodology for appropriateness, completeness, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and cite up‑to‑date research.
• Analyse results and conclusions to ensure they are clearly presented and supported by data.
• Provide constructive, written feedback highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality and objectivity.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
