Physician for US Navy BOSC Clinic (Diego Garcia)

About the role

Amentum is looking for a qualified Physician to provide comprehensive medical care at the BOSC Clinic on Diego Garcia, supporting a critical US Navy program. The role involves delivering primary, acute, and preventive health services to a multi‑national workforce in an austere environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions for clinic patients.
• Conduct physical exams, review medical histories, and order appropriate labs and imaging.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, including health education and prevention strategies.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in line with medical guidelines.
• Collaborate with Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and ancillary staff to ensure high‑quality care.
• Respond to medical emergencies, providing BLS, ACLS, and trauma stabilization as needed.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate in clinical operations review and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related specialty.
• Valid, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
• 3‑5 years of clinical experience, preferably in primary care or emergency settings.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS is a plus.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid passport with at least one year of validity and ability to travel internationally.
