Physiotherapist Intern – Outpatient Care

About the role

The Muranga County Government seeks a motivated Physiotherapist Intern to join its outpatient unit. You will support patients with mobility and functional challenges, helping them regain independence while contributing to the county’s public‑health objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide physiotherapy services to outpatients according to individual treatment plans.
• Assess patients’ physical function, mobility, pain levels and rehabilitation needs.
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy and hydrotherapy as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including assessments, treatments and progress notes.
• Collect clinical and operational data to support research and evidence‑based practice.
• Participate in community education and sensitisation activities related to physiotherapy.

Required profile

• Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
• Mandatory experience in a clinical or community setting.
• Strong commitment to patient‑centred care and public health goals.
