Plant Quality Lead

About the role

The Plant Quality Lead is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust quality systems across the manufacturing site. This role ensures products, materials, and processes meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve product and process quality.
• Own the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and other regulatory standards.
• Design and maintain measurement systems for early detection of quality deviations.
• Create quality plans for raw materials, finished goods and packaging to guarantee fit‑for‑purpose specifications.
• Investigate customer and supplier complaints, manage corrective and preventive actions, and document outcomes.
• Maintain production traceability data to support recalls and complaint investigations.
• Lead new product and process introductions, including trials and validation activities.
• Plan and execute internal, external, customer and regulatory audits.
• Ensure laboratory instruments are calibrated and reagents are stocked, with proper recording and analysis of results.
• Report monthly on quality performance, KPIs and improvement initiatives to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality assurance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14000 families and related regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to lead audits, manage corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent analytical skills for data‑driven decision making and problem solving.
