About the role
The Porter will support the Cancer Centre by moving patients, transporting samples and supplies, and assisting staff with non‑clinical tasks. This is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Nairobi.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and transport NGS laboratory samples to the NGS Unit.
- Deliver documents, supplies and other materials to designated locations.
- Run authorised errands for the NGS Unit and support movement of supplies.
- Assist with receipt, delivery and set‑up of routine unit supplies and materials.
- Undertake basic administrative and logistical tasks as assigned.
Required profile
- Minimum KCSE or equivalent qualification.
- At least 1 year experience in a hospital or patient support role; healthcare experience is an advantage.
- Physical fitness and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Required skills
- Good communication and customer care skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and laboratory information.
