Pre Sales System Engineer – Sub‑Saharan Region

About the role

The Pre‑Sales System Engineer works closely with Key Account Managers and customers to design and deliver end‑to‑end public‑safety communication solutions. You will own the technical design of systems that combine Motorola and third‑party products, supporting major radio‑system opportunities across the Sub‑Saharan market.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on specialist radio‑communication technologies (P25, Tetra, DMR, Microwave, LTE).
• Develop high‑level and detailed system designs, including architecture, dimensioning for core, remote and TX sites.
• Evaluate Motorola and third‑party technologies to match customer requirements and budgets.
• Collaborate with Sales to shape overall sales strategies and present technical solutions during tender phases.
• Create and review engineering deliverables such as System Design Documents, Bill of Materials, network diagrams, coverage plots and fleet maps.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and architecting public‑safety radio communication systems.
• Strong understanding of system performance, redundancy, grade of service and link availability criteria.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional project teams during implementation.
