Principal DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

About the role

We are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to design, build, automate, and optimise cloud‑based platforms and deployment environments. This hands‑on role works closely with Engineering, QA, Operations, Security and Product teams in an Agile setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure and architectures.
• Build and maintain highly automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management and operational workflows.
• Work with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes and ECS.
• Support production environments – deployments, upgrades, troubleshooting and incident resolution.

Required profile

• 12+ years of DevOps/Cloud/Infrastructure experience, preferably in SaaS or similar tech environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Proven experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with configuration management (Chef or Puppet) and container platforms.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile practices and cloud security.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
