Procurement & Logistics Assistant (ProLog) – Kakuma

About the role

The Procurement & Logistics (ProLog) Assistant will support the Area Procurement and Logistics Officer in ensuring smooth procurement, supply and fleet operations for the Kakuma office. Based in Kakuma, the role combines market research, purchase order management and vehicle coordination to keep projects running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in procuring project supplies and services, including market surveys, bid preparation and contract management.
• Track purchase orders, contracts and framework agreements in DCA’s ADMIND system and update procurement plans.
• Process invoices promptly, ensuring all supporting documents are attached.
• Maintain a monthly procurement tracker and ensure compliance with DCA procurement policies.
• Support fleet management by planning vehicle movements, coordinating driver schedules and overseeing routine servicing.
• Conduct annual physical asset verification and keep the asset register up‑to‑date.
• Provide regular procurement status updates to project staff and assist with preparation of procurement documents.

Required profile

• Kenyan national with experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
• Ability to work under the guidance of the Area Procurement and Logistics Officer and collaborate with programme teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
