About the role
The Procurement Officer will develop and implement procurement systems, guide departments on specifications, source and manage suppliers, and lead pre‑qualification and tender processes to ensure cost‑effective and timely delivery of goods and services.
Key responsibilities
- Assist departments in defining clear purchasing specifications.
- Develop and execute spend management and sourcing strategies.
- Manage vendor relationships, tender processes, and contract administration.
- Control inventory and ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective, prompt delivery of goods and services.
- Prepare financial and inventory performance reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Full CIPS qualification (or equivalent) and membership in good standing with KISM or another relevant professional body.
- At least 4 years of hands‑on local and international procurement experience.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with high integrity.
